Empowering Communities for Environmental Action

In May 2024, I started working as the youngest development director for Scouting America at 19 years old. Over a year, I raised $700K for conservation projects in Silicon Valley. Now, I am a master's student at Imperial College London studying Climate Change, Management, and Finance to learn the best mechanisms to finance climate projects.

This inspired me to create a free e-book to help small organizations learn how to fundraise with effective climate messaging. Let's save the planet!

My Story
Who am I?

I am Kate Wexell, a native of Shiloh, Illinois, a 15,000-person suburb outside St. Louis. Growing up, many of my family members lived in towns of less than 1,000 and worked in agriculture.

I earned my bachelor's in public administration and policy and have worked for eight environmental non-profits, handling tasks ranging from fundraising to education to renewable energy policy to local journalism.

From 2021 to 2024, I ran an environmental education non-profit called The Compass Online, which reached 20K+ people from 75+ countries and received recognition from the Jane Goodall Institute, Clinton Foundation, and G20 India.
